North Warwickshire CVS are now running a vinvolved project called reVOLve. It will replace Millennium Volunteers, but will continue to offer volunteering opportunities to young people aged 16 - 25.

We are now reVOLve - a vinvolved project.

This project will replace and build on the success of the Millennium Volunteers programme which finished at the end of March 2008.

Please bear with us while we update our website.

Volunteers are currently choosing the logo design for reVOLve.

We will then be changing our marketing and publicity materials.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR EASTER PROJECTS

We are looking for volunteers to come with us to community buildings, volunteer centres and play groups to help children decorate hard boiled eggs.

So if you are looking for an arty volunteering opportunity or one working with children - this is for you!

We are provisionary looking at Wednesday 26th March and Monday 31st March 2008 to do this.

If you are interested and want to find out more, come along to our offices at Community House, Coleshill Road in Atherstone between 4.30 - 6.30pm on Tuesday 18th March 2008.


NEW NAME FOR vinvolved PROJECT

Since been awarded funding from the new youth volunteering charity v - the current Millennium Volunteers project have been looking into a new name for the vinvolved project which will take over from MV from April 2008.

Staff and the steering group came up with a list of names which has been circulated to every young person currently signed up to the North Warwickshire Millennium Volunteers programme. The young people were asked to decide on their favourite five names numbering them 1 - 5. Number 1 the favourite, number 5 the least favourite.

FUNDING NEWS - vinvolved project

North Warwickshire CVS who manage Millennium Volunteers were successful in getting a further three years funding for a volunteering project.

It will be a vinvolved project and will take the place of the Millennium Volunteers project from March 2008.

MV NEWSLETTER - WIN MP3 PLAYER

Volunteers have been working hard on the new MV newsletter.

VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

As part of the national Make A Difference Day campaign, Millennium Volunteers took part in two community projects.

During the half term week in October they went along to Warton to revamp a scout hut and Arley to clear away a soil mound.

Volunteers were called to help Warton scout group to revamp their premises. It was dark and damp before the volunteers gave it a new lick of paint.

They also put in some donated furniture and storage.
