Make A Difference Day 2007

As part of the national Make A Difference Day campaign, Millennium Volunteers took part in two community projects.

During the half term week in October they went along to Warton to revamp a scout hut and Arley to clear away a soil mound.

Volunteers were called to help Warton scout group to revamp their premises. It was dark and damp before the volunteers gave it a new lick of paint.

They also put in some donated furniture and storage.

Then it was off to Arley to help move a massive soil mound.

It had been growing at St Wilfred's Church. Everytime a grave is dug the surplus soil is dumped in the corner of the grave yard. They were unable to get a digger into the yard to move the soil so that's how we helped.
